There's a song of wonder, a song of purest praise
That started long before Eden's dawn
From the lips of angels who worship night and day
A timeless anthem that goes on and on

The echo of the ages resounds before Your throne
Glory, oh glory be to You and You alone
Our song of worship rises with the saints who've gone before
The echo of the ages, holy is the Lord

Words of truth that thunder across eternity
From those of every race, tribe and tongue
Countless generations of the ones that You've redeemed
A timeless anthem that goes on and on

The echo of the ages resounds before Your throne
Glory, oh glory be to You and You alone
Our song of worship rises with the saints who've gone before
The echo of the ages, singing

Holy, holy, holy
Is our Lord almighty
Holy, holy, holy
Is our Lord almighty

The echo of the ages resounds before Your throne
Glory, oh glory be to You and You alone
Our song of worship rises with the saints who've gone before
The echo of the ages, holy is the Lord
Holy is the Lord
Holy is the Lord
Holy is the Lord

Song facts

"As I was writing for this album, I started to think about the timelessness of God and how He might experience His praises in eternity. I was imagining it in a linear way and that maybe all the praises from all times and places were filling the throne room for all time but also in one eternal moment. It's definitely a lot to try and wrap your head around!

Envision the angels and their chants and songs that started even before the creation story mixing with the saints that have gone before us and the worshipers of today. For me, it was a new way to consider worship. As I'm singing his praises I'm not only in that moment but also adding to the perpetual worship of our everlasting God.

Isaiah 6:3 says, "And they were calling to one another: 'Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.'"" - Kerrie Roberts
