We're all alone tonight
Just us and a million stars
Baby you're my sky
And heaven's where we are

God is a DJ
Mixing us his way
I am the rhythm
And you are the rhyme
I'm giving you my heart
Boy it's yours to take
Here goes nothing
And everything tonight

Woah woah
Gonna kiss your lips
Woah woah
Giving up the fight
Woah woah
Here goes nothing
And maybe everything tonight

I can hear your heart sing
I can feel it starting
This is the beginning
Of a brand new song and

God is a DJ
Mixing us his way
I am the rhythm
And you are the rhyme
I'm giving you my heart
Boy it's yours to take
Here goes nothing

Woah woah
Gonna kiss your lips
Woah woah
Giving up the fight
Woah woah
Here goes nothing
And maybe everything tonight
Everything tonight

God is a DJ
Mixing us his way
I am the rhythm
And you are the rhyme
I'm giving you my heart
Boy it's yours to take
Here goes nothing
And everything tonight

Is perfect
It's just right

Woah woah
Gonna kiss your lips
Woah woah
Giving up the fight
Woah woah
Here goes nothing
And maybe everything tonight

Woah woah
Gonna get closer
Woah woah
I wanna make you mine
Woah woah
Here goes nothing
And baby everything tonight
Tonight, you're everything tonight

Song facts

"Everything Tonight comes from an assortment of memories, it's about being with someone and you kind of give into them, but you're reluctant to give away your heart because you've had your heart broken before. You realize you just have to let fate take control and if you're meant to be together you will be together. You're saying, "here goes nothing and maybe everything tonight". I just believe it's all in God's hands. I've come to realize sometimes you just have to not try to control things and know everything is meant to be! I'm still learning about relationships and boys but it's a song about knowing you bring something to the table that's different then the person you're with, hence "I am the rhythm and you are the rhyme"." - Elizabeth Lyons
