"Beautiful People" is a song by American recording artist Chris Brown, taken from his fourth studio album, F.A.M.E.. The song was written by Brown, Jean Baptiste, Benny Benassi and Alle Benassi, with the latter two also handling its production. It was released as the third single from F.A.M.E. on March 11, 2011.
"Beautiful People" is an electro house song, that contains elements of europop. It received a positive response from critics, who praised the song's positivity and sound. The song has appeared on the US Hot Dance Club Songs and New Zealand Singles Chart. It has also reached the top fifteen on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart.
During an interview with MTV News, Brown spoke of the song saying: "It's my new song and featuring the producer... We got a chance to work together and with Jean Baptiste, as well. It wasn't a selfish record, it wasn't me bragging or boasting or talking about cars or money or girls. It was me being able to inspire people with dance music. We have a lot of tragic things going on and the world needs to come together as a whole and stop the negativity."
The song received positive reviews from critics. Margaret Wappler from Los Angeles Times said it is almost a Kylie Minogue song "with its powdered-sugar synths and dance floor positivity". Jon Caramanica from The New York Times said that "Beautiful People" "has the clanging, swelling synths that are the hallmark of megaclubs." Editors from Idolator were impressed with the song, and thought it was the most electro house song they've ever heard from Brown. Ed Easton Jr. from 92.3 Now said that "Beautiful People" "is a softer and sensitive side of Chris Brown as it's lyrics are supposed to be meant to inspire others." Joanne Dorken from MTV UK said that "Brown’s vocals are unrecognisable on this Ibiza-dance scene floor filler, which you can’t help but move to."
