Looking 4 Myself is the seventh studio album by American artist Usher, released on June 12, 2012. The album was released on RCA Records, following the disbandment of Jive Records in October 2011. Several producers were involved with the production of the album, including Diplo, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Salaam Remi, Labrinth, The Neptunes and Max Martin.

The album was preceded by three singles, with the lead single being "Climax". It peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. "Scream" and "Lemme See" featuring rapper Rick Ross were released as the second and third single, respectively.

Whilst talking to MTV, Usher stated that Looking 4 Myself is "the most artistic of an album" he has ever had in history. When questioned by Reuters during an interview regarding the latter quote, and how this project was different, Usher explained, "It was damn near a rebirth. I felt open and creative because I didn't have anything in my mind. At some point, after making music for a long time, you have to find very new creative and innovative ways to do what you love. I've felt restricted in a lot over the last several years and maybe it's because I was holding myself back. Maybe I felt like I needed to conform to some specific standard. I got to the point where I said, 'I gotta go with what I feel and hopefully people will follow me.'"
