Release date: March 2011
Me Time is an EP from country artist, Lisa Matassa, released on March 31, 2011. This release comes after a long break of 23 years since Lisa put her music career on the backburner to become a wife and mother on New York's Long Island.
The album title "Me Time" reflects the notion of a woman owning her power and making her own happiness and fulfillment a priority, something every woman, wife or mother can relate to.
"Me Time" is an inspired musical compilation of strong, rock-based empowering songs with country undertones. "There's a lot more 'country' in America outside of Nashville," explains Lisa. "Having grown up in New York and in South Florida, and raised a family on Long Island, I've had a lot of cultural and musical influences in addition to traditional country music. While I love Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, I'm also a huge fan of Elvis, The Beatles, Heart, and southern rock bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd."
