Director's Cut is an album from British singer Kate Bush released on May 16, 2011, her first album since 2005's Aerial. The album consists of eleven reworked and/or entirely re-recorded songs from her albums The Sensual World and The Red Shoes. It entered the UK charts on 22 May 2011 at number 2, matching the peak positions of the 2 albums from which it draws its source material, The Sensual World and The Red Shoes.

The first single, "Deeper Understanding", was released on April 5, 2011. Its lyrics describe a friendly relationship between a lonely person and a computer.
