Darren Criss - Human EP Lyrics

Human is the debut EP released by singer-songwriter Darren Criss. Criss independently-produced the EP and it was released digitally through Amazon.com and iTunes on July 20th, 2010. The EP debuted at No. 30 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers and placed in the Top 20 for the iTunes Top Alternative Charts.

The recording of the EP took place "just in my room", says Criss. "We did it in like a week. My friend is an audio engineer, and we wanted to get something out because it was time–it was coming out at the same time as the show, but these are all old songs."

Criss states that each of the songs are "old songs," adding that "Human" was the first song he wrote, back when he was 15. The songs "Sami" and "Not Alone" appeared in the Team StarKid musical A Very Potter Musical, but Criss had written them beforehand. He wrote "Not Alone" while abroad in Italy and wrote "Sami" for the web series Little White Lie that he and other members of Team StarKid had done in 2007.
