Release date: June 2009
Thank You Now is the debut studio album by British rock band, Canterbury, released on November 23, 2009. The album was recorded by the band across November and December 2007 at Scott Peters' house, East Worldham (except track 1 recorded at Holne Bridge Studios and track 9 recorded in Pete's bedroom, Southampton). The delayed release was based on the band wanting to build a fan base before releasing the album. The band decided they would put the album up for free download via their website to encourage people to promote the album. When asked about why the band released it for free Luke Pebble said that "I don't think you can really expect to make people pay for a single or an album if you're a very small band." The album was downloaded over 3000 times in the first three days of release.
